RoboEngineer Spotlight #2

RoboEngineer Spotlight #2

Hello, humans!

Welcome to a brand new year of the RoboCo devblog! All of the RoboCo staff are back from a nice, relaxing holiday vacation, and we can’t wait to bring you more fun, never-before-seen content in what could be our biggest year yet!

To start 2022, we’re doing another “RoboEngineer Spotlight”! This award goes out to a select member of our Discord community that answers questions, builds amazing robots, actively engages with our staff, and overall makes the RoboCo Discord a more welcoming place. Our previous winner and Discord moderator, Da Bald Eagul, exemplifies all of these qualities and more, setting the bar for our next winner very high!

And so, without further ado, please give a (robotic) hand to KingBR!

KingBR has been a member of our Discord since July 16, 2020. They’ve posted over 945 times and were one of the first to compete in our Discord-only RoboCo Build-Off competition. When they aren’t helping newcomers learn RoboCo, they’re busy making questions for Inside RoboCo, our behind-the-scenes series where we interview our developers about our game! In fact, KingBR is tied with Da Bald Eagul for having the most questions featured in an episode! On top of that, they’ve also built some riveting robots, which you can see in the video below.

We’re so grateful to have you as a member of our Discord community, KingBR! Your questions truly delight our developers, and we love the additions you’ve made to our Discord (my personal favorite being creating titles to immortalize RoboCo competition winners and competitors)!

If you’re interested in learning more about KingBR and the other squishy humans that make up our community, click the link here: https://discord.gg/7d5cpKbxdu. Our members not only get the chance to be featured in our “RoboEngineer Spotlight”, but they also get to participate in Discord-only competitions, have direct dialogue with our development team, and be the first to learn about new RoboCo announcements.

And that’s it for this week’s devblog! Next week, we’re releasing a brand new episode of Inside RoboCo focusing on Lead UI/UX designer Joe Horan and the beloved RoboCo toolset. This video will be the first in a mechanic’s list of YouTube content coming to you in 2022, so if you haven’t already, make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss a thing!
